Add Umbyrx
One click, then everything else happens in the browser.
Sign in with Discord, pick the server from the list, and the invite screen opens with the right permissions already ticked. You need Manage Server in a server to add a bot to it. After the invite you land back on the dashboard with that server ready to configure.
What it asks for, and why
Umbyrx asks for the permissions its modules need. You can untick any of them, and the features that depend on them simply will not work until you grant them later.
| Permission | What needs it |
|---|---|
| Manage Roles | Autorole, level rewards, ticket access, locking channels |
| Manage Channels | Voicemaster rooms, ticket channels, slowmode, lock and hide |
| Ban Members | Ban, softban, tempban, unban, antinuke |
| Kick Members | Kick, and antinuke when set to kick |
| Timeout Members | Mute and unmute |
| Manage Messages | Purge, sticky messages, cleaning up after commands |
| Move Members | Moving people to the AFK channel, disconnecting from a voice room |
| Manage Nicknames | The nick command |
| View Audit Log | Antinuke, and naming who did what in the logs |
| Read and send messages, embed links, attach files | Replying to commands at all |
One thing Discord will not let any bot work around: the Umbyrx role has to sit above the members it acts on. Drag it high in Server Settings, Roles, and most permission problems never happen.
After it joins
- Open the dashboard and sign in with Discord.
- Pick your server. Every module starts turned off.
- Set a mod-log channel in General Settings so moderation has somewhere to go.
- Turn on the modules you want. The docs cover each one.
Nothing changes in your server until you switch something on.
